The future of cognitive transportation is here. IBM entered into a joint venture with BMW for a Co-Lab in its Munich headquarters. The partnership gave BMW access to utilize facilities, talent, as well as Watson IoT software and training to create cognitive solutions for automotive. Our project was to create an announcement page for Watson IoT's partnership with BMW.
My primary role was to oversee the visual design and pattern of the page while maintaining brand integrity and checking for overall cohesiveness. I created a high fidelity comp for the development team and provided visual assets.
First, images were selected based on the ones provided by BMW. Some backgrounds were altered for visual clarity and to highlight only the vehicle. Next, the color palette was kept gray and black to maintain the authenticity of the imagery. "Duo blue" (blue 70) and IBM Plex font were used in accordance with brand guidelines and the overall page was iterated until visual consistency was achieved.
