AI is creating factories that think for themselves. L’Oréal chose IBM’s Watson IoT platform to be able to take the right actions at the right time. To this end, the activities of purchasing, production, packaging and delivery have been brought together in an overarching process. Technologies such as IoT, augmented & virtual reality, and AI form the basis for this smarter factory. Our project was to create an announcement page for Watson IoT's partnership with L’Oréal.
My primary role was to oversee the visual design of the page by maintaining brand integrity and checking for overall cohesiveness. I created a high fidelity comp for the development team and provided visual assets.
First, images are selected based on the ones provided by L'Oréal. Some backgrounds were altered for visual clarity. Next, the color palette was chosen to compliment the imagery. IBM Plex font is used in accordance with brand guidelines and the overall page was iterated until visual consistency was achieved.
